SUBSTANCE: method of production of a grain-oriented sheet of electrical steel includes heating a slab containing, wt %: C from 0.0005 to 0.005, Si from 2.0 to 4.5, Mn from 0.005 to 0.3, S and/or Se (in total) of 0.05 or less, dissolved Al from 0.010 to 0.04, N 0.005 or less, the rest is Fe and unavoidable impurities, slab hot rolling to produce a hot-rolled sheet, if required, hot-rolled sheet annealing in the hot zone, cold rolling of the hot-rolled sheet in one, two or more passes with intermediate annealing between them to obtain a cold-rolled sheet of a final thickness, cold-rolled sheet annealing to primary recrystallization, and annealing to secondary recrystallization. The IC index of steel sheet aging prior to final cold rolling is set to 70 MPa or less for efficient growth of Goss-oriented grains.
