FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus for electrochemical activation of water comprises vertically mounted rod and cylindrical electrodes, a tubular porous diaphragm installed immovably and coaxially by bushings made of dielectric material. The tubular diaphragm is made of elastic ultrafiltration material and is mounted on a cylindrical frame with end-to-end recesses, at the ends of which electrically insulating rings are attached on the outer surface. The frame is made of a metal with an electrically insulating coating or of glass fibre, and structural parameters of the recesses and the frame satisfy the following relationships: A=D·(π/n-0.1), B=(0.5-0.6)·D, C=0.1·D, Δ≥0.03·D, and n≥6, where A, B denote the circumference and width of the recesses, C is the distance between the recesses, Δ is the wall thickness of the frame, n is the number of recesses on the circumference, D is the external diameter of the frame.
EFFECT: low power consumption of the electrochemical activation process and improved redox properties of the treated water.
