SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine. A wound bandage for the protection of a wound zone contains a permeable layer, which has the first, upper, surface and the second, lower, surface, located at a distance of load absence from the first surface, when the bandage is in an unloaded condition; separating elements, passing between the first and second surfaces and, when the bandage is in the loaded condition, taking such a position, at which the said first and second surfaces are at a distance of compression, smaller than the distance of load absence, from each other; and an absorbing layer for the absorption of a wound exudate. The first, upper, surface contains an upper layer of a bulk fabric, and the second, lower, surface contains a lower layer of a bulk fabric. The absorbing layer covers a permeable layer. The quantity of threads in the upper layer is larger than the quantity of threads in the lower layer so, that the fluid is more absorbed by the upper layer than by the lower layer.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of protection.
