SUBSTANCE: device comprises a liquid- and gas-permeable layer, an absorption layer applicable to absorb wound effluent and placed above the permeable layer; the absorption layer extends from the centre of the dressing beyond the periphery of the permeable layer; what is also provided is a gas-impermeable, however liquid-permeable layer placed above the absorption layer and comprising a first opening.
EFFECT: method for generating negative pressure within the wound promoting its covering and healing; presented is the wound dressing possessing the improved absorbability of wound effluent that is expected to make a procedure of changing a dressing less often, control a wound effluent flow in the dressing thereby avoiding corking, which leads to a service life decrease.
