FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the ICE exhaust gas recycling regulation (EGR). Claimed invention consists in adjustment of firing point and direct fuel injection with allowance for the engine operating performances and injected fuel composition for elimination of detonation. One or several engine parameters, for example the number of EGR, varying gas distribution phases, forced aspiration, throttle turn angle are coordinated with the direct injection for reduction of torque in transient modes. Proceeding from the EGR flow parameters, the engine load is varied whereat water is injected into the engine. Note here that said water is injected at different engine loads depending on current EGR conditions and directly-injected water amount is adjusted in compliance with EGR flow proceeding from the required level of dilution (depletion) of the mix in the cylinder.
EFFECT: higher engine efficiency at transient modes.
