FIELD: engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in control systems of internal combustion engines (ICE). Disclosed are methods and systems for controlling dilution to engine. One or more diluents for engine are combined to provide required engine dilution, wherein various diluents are selected based on their respective combustion stability limits. Ratio of used various diluents additionally regulated on basis of engine operation limitations.
EFFECT: technical result is reducing probability of detonation in engine.
