METHOD FOR PREDICTING RISK OF DEVELOPING PRIMARY OPEN-ANGLE GLAUCOMA WITH EXFOLIATIVE SYNDROME BASED ON MOLECULAR GENETIC DATA Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC G01N33/49 C12Q1/6806

Abstract RU 2753268 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and is intended to predict the risk of developing primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) with exfoliative syndrome in Russian individuals, natives of the Central Black Earth region of the Russian Federation. DNA is isolated from the peripheral venous blood. An analysis of the rs3918242 and rs17576 polymorphisms of the MMP9 gene is performed. If the CTA haplotype is detected at the rs3918242 and rs17576 loci of the MMP9 gene, a high risk of developing POAG with exfoliative syndrome is predicted.

EFFECT: invention provides the criteria for assessing the risk of developing POAG with exfoliative syndrome in individuals of Russian nationality, natives of the Central Black Earth region of the Russian Federation.
