SUBSTANCE: claimed invention relates to novel protein, possessing O-acetylhomoserine-sulphhydrilase activity, its mutant protein, polynucleotide, coding thereof, recombinant vector, switching on polynucleotide, microorganism, transformed with recombinant vector, and method for obtaining methionine or acetic acid with protein application.

EFFECT: method for obtaining by the claimed invention has advantage of obtaining L-methionine and acetic acid in economically effective way, by provision of higher rate of conversion and shorter reaction time in comparison with existing methods, and it can minimise quantity of enzyme homogenate, added in application of mutant protein, thus easily obtaining L-methionine with high output.
