FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, in particular to a cathode mixture for use in a biocompatible battery. Methods and apparatus for forming biocompatible batteries are also described. In some examples, methods and apparatus for forming biocompatible batteries include forming cavities containing cathode active chemicals. Active elements of the cathode and anode are sealed with the biocompatible material. Disclosed is a cathode mixture containing a transition metal oxide, such as manganese dioxide, a hydrophobic binder containing polyisobutylene, a solvent and carbon modifications, wherein the cathode mixture is capable of filling the cavity in the laminar structure due to its rheological properties, while maintaining biocompatibility and electrical conductivity. In some examples, the field of application of the methods and apparatus may include various biocompatible devices or products that require batteries.
EFFECT: improving safety and reliability with a relatively small size of a biocompatible device battery is the technical result of the invention.
