FIELD: radio engineering, communication.

SUBSTANCE: road signs and traffic lights installed among a road are equipped with electronic duplicates in the form of oscillatory circuits - radiofrequency identifiers. A transceiver mounted on the front of a vehicle emits a focused frequency- or phase-modulated signal in the direction of movement of the vehicle. When said signal reaches an oscillatory circuit and when the interrogating signal matches resonance characteristics of the oscillatory circuit, the signal amplitude increases sharply, which is identified by the transceiver as a label, which is characteristic for a specific road sign or type of traffic light. A signal corresponding to the generated label is transmitted from the transceiver to an automatic recognition device and is displayed on the display of an information display unit. Furthermore, the signal is concurrently transmitted to a fuel supply control unit which generates a control signal transmitted to a limiter, which reduces or cuts fuel supply into the combustion chamber.
