FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: melting of steel is made with following composition in wt %: from 2.5 to 3.5 Si, from 0.05 to 0.40 Mn, from 0.004 to 0.013 N, below 0.012 S, from 0.010 to 0.040 acid soluble Al, below 0.005 Ti, Fe and inevitable admixtures - rest, steel pouring to slabs, slabs heating, hot rolling, normalising annealing, etching, single or multiple pass cold rolling of straps by single stage with strap temperature for at least two passes 190-230°C, decarbonising-recrystallisation annealing, nitriding, application of separating heat-resistant coating, high temperature annealing for secondary recrystallisation. Cold rolling is performed by 4-6 passes at 190-230°C during next to the last and last passes with total reduction 85-90% at single mill reversing mill with work rollers diameter 260-290 mm with S-shape profiles, rotated one relatively to another by 180°, using the rolling emulsion as coolant-cutting fluid, at that reduction during the last pass is 95-120% of average reduction during previous passes.

EFFECT: assurance of high magnetic induction and extra low level of specific magnetic losses at high flatness of the strap.
