FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: substance of the proposed method consists in determination of a body mass, coordinates of the centre of mass and six axial central moments of inertia, by which the tensor of body inertia is identified. For this purpose by the chronometric method they measure angular acceleration of the body and simultaneously the active rotation torque, by the angle of twisting of the torsion shaft. Using available torques and appropriate angular accelerations they determine six axial central moments of inertia.

EFFECT: possibility to determine tensor of inertia of bodies, to which the solid body model is not applicable.
