FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: radiation detector (100) comprises a converting element (102) to convert falling high-energy radiation (X) into charge signals, a cathode (101) and a grid (104) of anodes (103), arranged on different sides of the converting element, for generation of electric field (E0, Ed) in the converting element (102), at the same time the converting element (102) has spatial heterogeneity, as a result of which intensity of the specified electric field (E0, Ed) increases in the first area (Rd) near the anode grid and/or reduces in the second area (R0) at the distance from the anode grid.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of registration of falling high-energy photons.
