A method for determining the analyte concentration in the biological sample involves the stages of: generating an output signal in response to an analyte redox reaction in the biological sample; generating a secondary output signal from the biological sample from an auxiliary electrode in response to an analyte haematocrit; detecting at least one index function related to a number of error parameters and determining the analyte concentration by at least one output signal and a index function-related slope compensation equation; the slope compensation equation contains a reference correlation and slope deviation. The group of inventions also refers to a biological sensor system for determining an analyte concentration in a sample.
