FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: posterior structures of the hemivertebra are removed from a dorsal approach: the hemivertebra half-arch, articular processes, transverse process. That is followed by removing a half-arch base, performing a wedge resection of a portion of the hemivertebra body with preserving the vertebral end plate of the hemivertebra and the intervertebral cartilage. Support elements of a metal structure are mounted from both sides in relation to the line of the spinous process, wherein the nails curved to follow the normal sagittal profile of the spinal column, are laid in. From the side of the hemivertebra, a segmental contraction is performed. From the opposite side, distraction forces are applied; in an anatomically correct position, an instability zone is fixed, and a local spinal fusion with using an auto-bone is created.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to reduce intraoperative injuries, preserving the growth area of the hemivertebra and the intact adjoining vertebra with the intervertebral disk in between to improve the spinal growth environment.
