FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: ablation is preceded by saturating a corneal stroma with riboflavin. After the ablation, the stroma is saturated with emoxipine. These procedures use 0.1% or 0.25% riboflavin, 1% emoxipine. The saturation represents instilling the solution every 1-2 minutes or spraying it in aerosol after dispersed by an ultrasonic nebuliser using a continuous or intermittent aerosol delivery at interval and duration 5-60 seconds.
EFFECT: method enables protecting the cells in cross-linking and ablation manipulations.
