FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, more specifically to ophthalmology, and can be used for assessing photo protector properties of corneal health and after various cerato-refraction operations. Using one of known methods thickness is determined in centre of cornea or separately of front epithelium, Bowman's cover and stroma. Then calculated photo protector index for whole of cornea and/or separately for epithelium, Bowman's cover and stroma and relative values to those in health and/or prior to determining photo protector indices are quantitative and qualitative analysis, then conclusion is made about photo protector properties of cornea.
EFFECT: method enables to accurately determine photo protector properties of cornea.
