SUBSTANCE: processor of a vehicle computer system is configured to obtain coordinates from a GPS device and send the said coordinates to a remote network. The processor is also configured to obtain map data relating to the route of the vehicle, including on a recommended start street. The processor can, in a voice form, output the name of the recommended start street on which the vehicle is currently not located and also determine whether the vehicle has reached that street. The processor is also configured to output at least initial instructions for travelling through a route.
EFFECT: accurate direction of movement towards a preferred route regardless of the location of the vehicle.
