FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to otorhinolaryngology, and can be used for detection of pathology of nasal valve. Examination is carried out using Multi Speech software. Audio signal is recorded in four modes: calm breathing, deep, forced, forced with Cottle sample of right and left halves of nose. Before ultrasound exposure for 30 minutes patient is adapted to room, in which will be carried out examination. Examination is performed in sitting position. Microphone is placed at level of nasal tip at distance of 5 cm. Each analysis is recorded during 11 seconds. By results of conducted analysis is determined duration of inhalation and exhalation. Their average values are calculated. On pathology of nasal valve is determined based on comparing relative durations inhalation and exhalation with norm.
EFFECT: method enables objective and informative detection of pathology of nasal valve, accurate determination method of treating and volume of surgical intervention due to usage of Multi Speech software and audio signal registration in four modes.
