FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: inventions group relates to medical equipment, namely to an individual intranasal device for improving nasal breathing and a method for its manufacture. A method for manufacturing an individual intranasal device, in which at the first stage the parameters of the patient's nasal cavity are determined: size A - the width of the lower part of the nasal vestibule, size B - the height of the nasal vestibule, size C - the height of the nose wing, size D - the width of the columella, angle α - angle between the plane of the nasal septum and the plane of the upper part of the nasal wing at the level of the anterior end of the inferior turbinate, angle β - the angle between the plane of the lower part of the nasal vestibule and the lower part of the ala of the nose at a distance of 5 mm proximal to the distal edge of the nasal vestibule, angle γ - the angle between the nasal septum and the plane of the lower part of the vestibule of the nose, while these parameters are determined for the left and / or right halves of the nose, at the second stage, according to the obtained parameters, an individual three-dimensional model of the intranasal device is created on a personal computer, at the third stage, based on the individual three-dimensional model, an individual intranasal device is made for improvement nasal breathing from an elastic biocompatible material directly by 3D printing using a 3D printer or by casting into a mold made according to an individual model from a solid polymer material. An individual intranasal device for improving nasal breathing is made with the possibility of installation in the vestibule of the nose, it is a single plate of elastic biocompatible material, consisting of at least three parts - the main plate, a short rib and a long rib, and the device is made by the above method, and the dimensions parts of the device and their relative position correspond to the individual parameters of the patient's nasal cavity. The device is configured to be installed in one half of the nose or in both halves of the nose.
EFFECT: use of the inventions makes it possible to improve nasal breathing in a patient through the use of a device that corresponds to the individual anatomical features of the structure of the patient's nasal cavity, is convenient and safe to use, which reduces the risk of discomfort and irritation in the vestibule of the nose and contributes to good tolerance of the intranasal device.
