FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to foundry. Charge billet is placed in ceramic mold or crucible is placed in lower area of heating zone of two-zone mold heating furnace and heated in atmosphere of inert gas. When melt temperature is 160-250 °C above its solidus temperature, said melt is held in an atmosphere of inert gas for 10-30 minutes. Ceramic mold or crucible is moved into cooling area of two-zone mold heating furnace at a rate of 1-30 mm/min.

EFFECT: uniform directed composite structure of casts out of alloy based on niobium, higher yield.
