FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to non-ferrous metallurgy, specifically to methods for obtaining low-alloy heat-resistant copper-based alloys, intended for making various parts subjected to considerable mechanical and electrothermal loads, for example, electrodes in contact welding apparatus, electric motor collectors, crystallisers of continuous casting plants, molds for casting low-melting metals. Method of producing chromium bronze includes melting with overheating of copper melt with subsequent introduction of alloying elements and / or ligatures into it and casting of ingots with subsequent cooling, wherein melting is carried out in graphite crucible of open induction furnace in temperature interval 1,200–1,350 °C using salt flux, and melt is cast into mold in protective atmosphere of inert gas. Salt flux used is flux with the following ratio of components: pre-melted borax 35–45 %, dried at temperature of 300–400 °C ANF-1 – 35–30 %, sodium fluoride – 30–25 %, and casting of melt into mold is carried out in protective atmosphere of inert gas at metal temperature of 1,280–1,300 °C.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at obtaining ingots of the required chemical composition with uniform distribution of chromium over the cross-section.
