FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: application describes a fluid sampling syringe device (100) comprising a body (102) with a side wall forming an internal passage-way of the body, and an elongated piston (122) with a distal end forming a cavity in the internal passage-way to contain the fluid. The piston is configured to slide in the internal passage-way between an initial position and retracted position. The device also comprises a bearing element (112) of the needle mounted in the internal passage-way in the proximal direction from a stopper (130) and holding a cannula (114). The bearing element is configured to travel automatically from the initial position, wherein at least a part of the cannula is found outside the body, into the retracted position, wherein the cannula is fully covered by the body after the elongated piston is moved from the initial position in the retracted position.
