FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to determine content of heavy metals in technical carbon. This invention consists in that calibration instrument is performed using dispersive x-ray fluorescence spectrometry for each element, intensity of analytical line element on corresponding wavelength Ie (p/s) is recorded, calibration curve is constructed based on obtained data; this curve is dependence of relative intensity of analytical line element Irelative on determined element weight fraction in reference samples C (%), analytical element line intensity is measured on corresponding wavelength Ie (p/s), background intensity is measured at points of spectrum corresponding to beginning and end of element measuring range, intensity of background arithmetic mean value is calculated in points of spectrum corresponding to beginning and end of element measuring range Ife (p/s), relative intensity of analytical line of each element of Irelative is calculated, weight ratio of elements in ash is found by calibration curve.
EFFECT: technical result is possibility of determining content of heavy metals in technical carbon with high accuracy.
