FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine. A patient interface system for an ophthalmic system comprises: a patient interface accommodating: a mounting unit attaching to the ophthalmic system; and a contact unit configured to enclose a viscoelastic substance between the patient interface and the eye treated, and a suction subsystem connected to the contact unit and configured attachable to a vacuum suction system to generate partial vacuum between the suction subsystem and the eye treated, to reduce mobility of the eye treated for purposes of performing an ophthalmic procedure; and a gas removal subsystem connected to the patient interface, comprising at least one of a pressure reduction system, heating system, membrane-based gas removal system, inert gassing system, surface tension manipulation system and reducer addition system.

EFFECT: using the invention is expected to reduce eye deformation.
