FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, namely to composition of structural steel of increased strength and crack resistance, used for making high-loaded bandages railway rolling stock wheels. Steel contains the following components, wt%: carbon 0.35-0.50, silicon 0.23-0.47, manganese 0.65-0.95, chromium 0.63-0.87, nickel 1.85-2.15, molybdenum 0.14-0.27 , vanadium 0.06-0.20, iron as balance.
EFFECT: higher tensile strength, hardness, impact strength and crack resistance and wear resistance and contact-fatigue strength of steel.
