FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to passive detection of targets moving in water under conditions of coastal sea areas and lakes for implementation of protecting coastal structures and beaches on side of aquatic medium or protecting underwater structures, such as laid underwater cables, manifolds, pipelines, as well as protecting ships at anchor, marine oil platforms, entrances, supports bridges, channels of water areas of hydropower stations from possible intruders or terrorists. For compensation of effect of noise caused by surface excitement, for registration of signals, method proposes to receive pressure oscillations on pair-connected receivers in chain, spaced apart at a distance exceeding size of zone of local pressure generated by target moving in water, wherein distance is selected, at which high coherence of detected vibrations in field of interference of waves is preserved, receivers in pair are switched on in counter phase at output for mutual interference subtraction. As a result interference at output of pair-connected receivers is substantially compensated, and useful signal remains untouched. Further, an electronic data processing system detects desired signals from moving underwater targets against background of a low noise level and positioning and motion parameters detected underwater targets.

EFFECT: technical result of present invention is reducing effect of noise caused by excitement of water surface at recording low-frequency of local pressure fluctuations of targets moving in water.
