SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power engineering. Regenerative burner apparatus, comprising: a burner housing having a gas channel extending therethrough; a single-stage heat regenerator provided with a housing enclosing a fluid-porous heat regenerative media bed having an upper surface and a lower surface, said housing having an opening communicating with an exterior of said apparatus; a first gas passageway in said housing directly interconnecting said gas channel of said burner housing and said lower surface of said heat regenerative media bed; and a second gas passageway in said housing interconnecting said opening in said housing communicating with said exterior and said upper surface of said heat regenerative media bed, said first and second gas passageways being in communication with each other substantially only through said heat regenerative media bed, said housing including a liquid collection chamber directly beneath said lower surface of said heat regenerative media bed. Said chamber for collecting fluid comprises a sump at its lower wall.
EFFECT: invention allows to reduce heat losses, contamination of heat regenerative medium.
