FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to ophthalmology, and can be used for the surgical treatment of keratectasia of various origins. For this, 0.2 ml of a freshly isolated suspension of autologous mononuclear blood leukocytes is injected around the protrusion of the cornea, into the anterior third of the stroma of the cornea, at an angle of 30 degrees to the surface of the cornea, using a 25G needle. The cell suspension is injected into 4 sectors around the zone of keratectasia until a clearly defined infiltration of the anterior third of the stroma of the affected cornea appears. The procedure is performed once.
EFFECT: method provides stable clinical and functional results in the postoperative period and good patient tolerance of the developed treatment with minimal trauma to the ocular surface of the operated eye, which significantly reduces the risk of intra- and postoperative complications.
