FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for analysis of materials. This invention consists in the fact that universal x-ray tube for energy-dispersive x-ray spectrometers includes housing, cathode, focusing electrode, anode with working surface perpendicular to direction of cathode-anode, an output beryllium opening arranged on side surface of housing, and collimator, ensuring output of radiation at an angle of 5-8 degrees to the anode surface, anode is made as double-layer, surface layer of which has thickness 3±1 microns and is made from scandium while its internal layer is made of rhodium and has thickness not less than 10 microns. Technical result consists in high contrast and sensitivity while determination of elements, which analytical lines of K-spectra are located in the energy range from 2.3 to 3.5 keV (S-K).
EFFECT: high contrast and sensitivity when determining elements.
