FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to X-ray equipment for production of X-ray radiation, in particular, this invention is oriented to production of X-ray tubes for radiation treatment of objects and sterilization of food products. X-ray tube comprises a housing, the cavity of which forms a vacuum chamber, a source of free electrons located in the vacuum chamber - a cathode, a focusing electrode and an anode unit, made of a housing, a substrate, on the inner side of which, facing the cathode, a target is applied, as well as coolant supply and discharge channels located on the other side of the substrate, wherein supply and discharge channels are located on both sides of the axis of the target and are interconnected. Target of said X-ray tube is made in form of thin-film tape, wherein length of target and substrate is more than 2 times greater than their width, channels are interconnected through at least one hole, the boundary point of the target which is closer to the axis of the boundary of which is spaced from this axis by not more than the width of the outer part of the substrate, wherein the orthogonal projection of the boundaries of the hole on the plane of the outer portion of the substrate crosses at least a portion of the outer portion of the substrate, and the discharge channel is located closer to the substrate than the supply channel.

EFFECT: reduced losses of X-ray radiation in elements of tube design, increased intensity of heat removal, absorption of low-energy part of X-ray radiation spectrum to ensure uniformity of dose absorbed in object.
