FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction, in particular, to methods for protection of individual supporting elements (for example, piles and columns) from impact forces of frost heaving soils, including in areas of permafrost. Device for protection against frost heave in foundations of buildings and structures erected on heaving soils, including located in a ground support member, around side surface of which in seasonal freezing and thawing zone are consistently placed layers of ice-free materials and containment that can absorb without destroying lateral pressure of heaving soil. Lower end of outer protective shell is secured to support member; reactive force on support member is less load-bearing capacity of support member on pull out load in ground below lower than lower boundary layer of seasonal freezing and thawing layer. Outer protective shell is made of elastic-plastic material stretched at ground heaving and not returning after thawing in original initial position. Maximum elongation of protective shell for period of full project life of outer protective shell does not exceed allowable maximum elongation of plastic material of shell. Movement of the upper end of outer protective shell reaches structures over foundation.
EFFECT: technical result is high reliability and efficiency of security device when exposed to forces of frost heaving of soil.
