FIELD: biology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to preservation of cells, which form a nucleus, specifically to a method of reducing apoptosis of stored cells and to cooled composition containing cells forming a nucleus, where cells are located in container and stored by said method. Method includes: 1) storage of cells, which form a nucleus in a container; 2) adding gas in said container so that pressure inside container reaches 0.5-4 atm higher than ambient pressure, where said gas represents or comprises gas xenon; 3) said pressure in said container in continuation of first period of time during which temperature in said container is equal to 22°C-37°C, 4) after said first period of time reduction of specified temperature in container to 0.1°C-10°C while maintaining specified pressure at 0.5-4 atm higher than ambient pressure; 5) said container at specified lower temperature and pressure at 0.5-4 atm higher than ambient pressure during second period of time, where said second period of time more than said first period of time; and 6) after said second period of time, pressure reduction in said container to ambient pressure and high temperature in said container - 22°C-37°C.
EFFECT: implementation of method reduces apoptosis.
