FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to composite materials - and cermets may be used to produce durable wear-resistant products working in conditions of friction units in the self-lubricating. For manufacturing the composite material Al2O3-Al Obtained granular charge consisting of a mixture of aluminum powder (PAC-2) with sodium stearate and glycerol, it was heat treated after drying in air (150-350°C, 0.5-1.0 h) and pressed at 300-700 MPa performing exposure under pressure for 15-60 seconds. For the sintering process the blank undergoes SHS by heating the air to 500-600°C followed by isothermal exposure for 0.5-1 hours. Phase composition of the sintered material was as follows (vol.%): Al 78-82, γ-Al2O3 10-14 α-Na2Si2O5 3.0-4.0, Si 1.2-2.0, C 2.5-2.8. Material density was 2.0-2.2 g/cm3, Bending strength of 70-160 MPa and the coefficient of sliding friction (according to the "drive rod", counterface - a ball diameter of 3 mm steel SH-15, the normal load - 1 H, linear velocity of the disk relative to the counterface - 10 cm/s) 0.10-0.12.
EFFECT: raising product yield and reducing the friction coefficient of the obtained material while maintaining sufficiently high strength.
