SUBSTANCE: invention relates to molecular diagnostics. Described is a method for identifying a phytopathogenic fungus Fusarium oxysporum by PCR, based on the use of species-specific primer pairs. Method comprises recovering DNA from samples of biological material, carrying out a polymerase chain reaction with the recovered DNA and species-specific primers, electrophoresis of PCR products in agarose gel, their visualization and identification by size comparison with DNA fragments of a molecular size marker. Presence of 285 base pairs of PCR products in sample or 370 base pairs indicates the presence of Fusarium oxysporumin the analysed sample.

EFFECT: wider range of means for identifying DNA of phytopathogenic fungi Fusarium oxysporum in biological material.
