FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, specifically to catheters. Catheter assembly comprises a catheter, at least part of which is equipped with a hydrophilic coating; wetting fluid and a tank holding wetting fluid and at least the part of catheter, which is equipped with a hydrophilic coating. Tank is in direct contact with hydrophilic coating of catheter on substantially entire length of part of catheter, which is equipped with a hydrophilic coating. In direct contact with vessel is at least 20 % of area of hydrophilic coating. Container has a heat-shrink film or package. Invention also discloses a method for production of catheter unit.
EFFECT: using invention allows easy and cheap production of catheter unit, which has smaller weight and overall dimensions.
