SUBSTANCE: urinary catheter kit contains a urinary catheter, preferably having a hydrophilic surface coating, and a package containing the urinary catheter. The package is formed from two sheets of foil material, of which the first foil is formed by deep drawing in the form of a tray. The package further comprises a re-sealable hole located within the boundaries of the second foil. The tray has a large depth in the portion containing the non-injected end of the urinary catheter than in the portion containing the injected part of the urinary catheter. The method for urinary catheter kit includes the following steps: taking the above urinary catheter and placing the said urinary catheter in a package containing the first and second sheets of foil material joined along the edges from which the first foil is formed by deep drawing in the form of a tray. The package further comprises a re-sealable hole located within the boundaries of the second foil, and the tray has a greater depth in the portion containing the non-injected end of the urinary catheter than in the portion containing the injected portion of the urinary catheter.

EFFECT: inventions characterize a simple and inexpensive package that can be easily opened even by users with limited motor capabilities, which has the ability to properly wet the catheter and handle it aseptically; so that said catheter package can be reclosed after use if it can not be disposed immediately and re-sealed to seal the wet product or wetting fluid without any risk of spillage.
