SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, specifically to laboratory diagnosis and may be used for measurement of erythrocyte deformability distribution parameters. Method includes performing video recording and processing of diffraction pattern appearing in scattering of a laser beam on a diluted suspension of erythrocytes deformed in shear flow of viscous friction forces, digitisation of diffraction pattern, definition of line shape of isointensity lying on periphery of central diffraction peak, measuring intensity I of scattered light on isointensity line in relation to intensity of main diffraction peak I (0), definition of polar coordinate points xp and yp, lying at intersection of said line with a horizontal axis of isointensity coordinates and coordinates with vertical axis. Radii of curvature R (xp) And R (yp) said isointensity line in said polar points, followed by calculation of average red blood cell deformability s, dispersion of deformability of red blood cells µ, and erythrocyte distribution asymmetry coefficient v deformability on mathematical formulae.

EFFECT: invention enables measurement of new parameters - dispersion of erythrocyte deformability and skewness of distribution on deformability of erythrocytes, and measurement of primary current measured value, specifically mean erythrocyte deformability of blood sample.
