SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to laboratory diagnostics, and can be used to measure the distribution of erythrocytes according to the degree of their deformability. For this purpose, conduct microphotography and processing of the obtained photos of the erythrocytes, deformed in the shear flow and fixed with glutaraldehyde, determine the length and width of deformed cells on the photos and calculate the erythrocyte extension index as an indicator of erythrocyte deformability.

EFFECT: invention provides an opportunity to evaluate the distribution of erythrocytes according to the degree of their deformability in the blood sample under study.
