FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ion-beam vacuum processing and can be used in mechanical engineering for increasing wear resistance of parts of machines and mechanisms. Method involves treatment of surface of parts from structural steel with a stream of nitrogen ions with an implantation dose of (1.5-3.3)·1017 ion/cm2 and subsequent annealing in argon at temperature of 180-240 °C and holding for 3-12 minutes.
EFFECT: higher wear resistance of parts of machines and mechanisms.
