FIELD: mobile communications.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mobile communications. In determining whether there is a trigger switch, local eNB switches from normal operation to operation in power saving state. When operating in power saving state local eNB stops operation for transmission of part of downlink transmission signals, which must be transmitted to user equipment (UE), and performs operation for reception of uplink signal transmitted from UE. Upon determining that it receives a transmission signal on an uplink (RACH) when operating in power saving state, local eNB switches to normal operation.
EFFECT: technical result is to reduce power consumption of network node in local band.
