FIELD: wireless communication equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication. Local eNB switches from normal operating mode to operation in power saving state. When operating in a power saving state, the local eNB terminates an operation for transmitting a portion of the downlink transmission signals to be transmitted to the user equipment (UE), and performs an operation to receive an uplink transmission signal transmitted from the UE. Upon determining that it receives a transmission signal on an uplink (RACH) when operating in power saving state, local eNB switches to normal operation.
EFFECT: technical result consists in reduction of power consumption of network node in local range.
