SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in wireless communication systems. Electronic device contains circuit configured to activate or deactivate secondary component carrier, corresponding to secondary cell, which provides resource transfer for carrier aggregation, based on activation/deactivation commands from base station; and monitoring physical downlink control channel of secondary cell based on operation of intermittent reception, if secondary component carrier activated, and absence of control over physical downlink control channel, if secondary component carrier is deactivated, wherein circuit is further configured to receive MAC signals as activation/deactivation commands and control of activation or deactivation of secondary component carrier based on MAC signals.
EFFECT: high throughput by controlling activation and deactivation of secondary component carrier for saving energy consumed by mobile communication station.
