FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a workpiece and a method of producing a corrosion-resistant article by hot processing and a corrosion-resistant article. Workpiece comprises a body of solid steel, a cladding member that is made of an alloy selected from a group comprising stainless steel, nickel-chrome, nickel-copper and copper-nickel alloys and is positioned on housing to form an interface between body and cladding member at which cladding member and body become bonded together during hot processing to obtain shape of corrosion-resistant article. Cladding member is positioned on body to make clearance at interface thereof, enabling removal of mass of scavenging metal gases causing oxidation of cladding member. Workpiece is sealed to prevent ingress of gases into interface located outside workpiece. Mass of scavenging metal is located at a certain distance from interface.
EFFECT: workpiece is configured for scavenging gases insulated inside workpiece from interface, with scavenging metal during heating of workpiece during hot processing.
