SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radiation detection. Method of detecting radiation comprises steps of registered event; initiating signal is generated, associated with registration event; generating first mark (TS1) time for initiating signal using first analogue-to-digital converter of time (TDC); generating second label (TS2) of time for initiating signal using second TDC, having fixed time offset relative to first TDC; and bind time mark with event based on first time mark, second time mark and comparison of time difference between second time mark and first time mark and fixed offset in time.

EFFECT: higher quality of PET image.
