FIELD: optics; instrument engineering.
SUBSTANCE: device implementing method for forming volume charge in pulse-periodic gas laser includes pulse voltage generator, working chamber with electrodes that generate volume discharge, as well as system for pumping work gas mix. Each electrode is made as base with arranged thereupon elements with release edges. Downstream of work gas mixture, before and after working chamber, grids are installed. Bases with release edge elements are arranged so that to allow reflection of acoustic oscillations towards flow outlet side of work gas mixture from volume discharge region.
EFFECT: higher laser power due to increased repetition frequency, and higher radiation energy in each impulse.
