FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to surgical ophthalmology, and can be used for removal of xanthelasma. Skin is incised along outline of xanthelasma with a radio knife with frequency 3.8-4.0 MHz in cutting mode at power 8.0-10.0 W. Xanthelasma is separated from underlying tissues in fully rectified wave mode at power of 10.0 W and bed coagulation of xanthelasma bed. At xanthelasma from 5.0 mm and more bed coagulation is carried out with laser radiation of wavelength of 980 nm, power 1.5 W.
EFFECT: method reduces number of postoperative inflammatory reactions appearing in form of hyperaemia of various degree of manifestation, reduces number of hematomas, reduces length of rehabilitation period and improves cosmetic effect.
