FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a device for implantation and fixation of ophthalmic applicator to posterior pole of eyeball made in form of an open, symmetric relative to longitudinal axis, figure on free ends of which there are closed loops. Device consists of four sections. First section, starting from closed loops to eye of ophthalmic applicator is straight, and then arc-like concave towards longitudinal axis and bent along outer surface of curvature of ophthalmic applicator. Second section is arched, concave towards longitudinal axis and bent along outer surface of curvature of ophthalmic applicator, wherein its curvature radius is greater than radius of curvature of first section. Third section is made similarly and symmetrically to second, fourth section is made similarly and symmetrically to first section. Sections, except first with fourth, are interconnected by open loop, bent to inner surface of ophthalmic applicator. Loop connecting second and third sections is located on longitudinal axis of device.
EFFECT: using given invention reduces time of operative intervention, reduces number of postoperative and postradiation complications.
