FIELD: engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to modification of lubricating materials, particularly to production of additives to motor oil, and can be used to increase wear resistance of friction parts. Method of producing copper-containing modifying additive for lubricating material involves addition of nano-sized copper powder with average particle size of 120 nm to base engine oil, soaking powder with base engine oil and dispersing by ultrasound vibrations in acoustic cavitation mode at resonant frequency of about 23 kHz.
EFFECT: higher quality of copper-containing modifying additives.
