FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a binder composition for mineral fibres. Said composition contains a polymer obtained by reacting with a hydroxy-polycarboxylic acid of a mixture of ethanolamines obtained from reaction of ethylene oxide and ammonia without separation into individual components of monoethanolamine, diethanolamine, triethanolamine.
EFFECT: obtained composition does not contain phenol and formaldehyde, characterized by simplicity of production, by avoiding the need to first obtain pure individual components, and, simultaneously, providing sufficiently high physical and mechanical properties of finished articles, such as: strength after sorption wetting at 10 % deformation and compressibility after sorption moistening.
